ETP is a cold rolled mild steel coil or sheet, coated on both sides with
tin by a continuous electrolytic operation, which when flow melted forms a tin iron layer in between the
steel base and the lustrous free tin layer.
After tinplate plating, there are many pores in the tin plating
layer, and the corrosion resistance function is not good.
Therefore, it is necessary to undergo soft dissolution or
passivation treatment after electroplating, so that tin alloy layer
and tin oxide layer can be formed on the surface respectively. The
corrosion resistance function can be improved effectively by making
the plating bright, strengthening the bonding force between the
plating and the steel plate and reducing the pores.
